It is with mixed feelings that I’m finally ready to tell you that I won’t be running Little Possums for much longer.
I started the business when my soon-to-be teenage daughter was a baby. Little Possums grew with my children (far more quickly than I ever anticipated, much like my children) and turned into a very successful babywearing business.
Now, after twelve years, I’m ready to move on so that I will have more time and energy to devote to my new career. Although I’m sad to say goodbye to Little Possums, which has been a huge part of my life for so long, I’m really pleased to be able to tell you that I have found a buyer.
Bob and Jeni from Derby Sling Library will be taking over soon and breathing new life and enthusiasm into the business. The exact date of the handover is still not confirmed, but trading will only be interrupted for a few days and Little Possums will then continue as usual from its new home. I wish Bob and Jeni all the very best, and am excited to see where they will take the business in the future.
I owe a huge thank you to my wonderful assistant manager, Charlie Morley, who has been doing most of the day-to-day running of the business now for the last few years while I’ve been establishing my writing career. I would also like to personally thank everyone who has supported Little Possums during the twelve years that I was running it. I’m incredibly grateful to all of you for making it such a success.
